San Diegans are optimistic about California and their economic position

In San Diego: 22 percent of respondents reported feeling less optimistic about achieving goals that before the recent economic downturn, 24 percent feel more optimistic and 53 percent reported no impact. 82 percent said they consider themselves able to achieve in life, while 18 percent said not very or not at all successful. 39 percent of respondents described their economic situation as the middle class, 29 percent identified themselves as working class, 17 percent as upper middle class, 12 percent as poor / below the poverty line and 3 percent as well off.70 percent of respondents were very or somewhat optimistic that their financial situation will improve in the next 12 months, 53 percent said they believe job opportunities in the state will be a lot or a little better in the 12 months 63 percent saw no signs of economic improvement in California 46 percent said they survived the recent recession better than those around them, 43 percent said that 'they did about as well as others, and 10 percent said they fared worse than others.67 percent considered themselves to just keep the same, while 24 percent considered themselves to be in ascension, and 5 percent said they are moving down. In San Diego 40 percent of those surveyed said they are more efficient than their siblings and 50 percent said they were about the same success, ranking higher than any other city in investigation into two categories. 26 percent were very concerned they will not have enough money to retire comfortably when the time comes, 34 percent were somewhat worried, 24 percent were not very worried, and 15 percent n were not worried at all.

Nearly three-quarters of those in San Diego, California rated as an excellent place to live, a higher rank than those who live in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Sacramento to the state, according to a new study by Citibank.

Although support for the Golden State, San Diegans was delayed by believing employment opportunities will improve in the coming years, to 53 percent, compared to Los Angeles, 61 percent, and San Francisco, 56 percent, the Citi California Pulse quarterly survey found.
